AWCNJ meetings feature speakers from
across the spectrum of communications interests,
addressing topics ranging from new technologies and
their impact on our professions, to professional and
self-development to anticipating trends and challenges.
AWCNJ holds three or four program meetings a year and
two networking dinners. Program meetings typically begin
with a continental breakfast at 8:00 am, followed by our
guest speaker. Our meetings are informative, featuring
speakers from across the spectrum of communications
interests. Networking is a part of every meeting and
sharing information about professional opportunities is
encouraged.

Allison H. Fine, noted activist and author. Fine wrote the award-winning book, Momentum: Igniting Social Change in the Connected Age. She writes the blog (A. Fine Blog) and hosts the Social Good podcast for the Chronicle of Philanthropy. Her articles have been published in the Boston Globe, San Jose Mercury Times, San Francisco Chronicle, and the Huffington Post. Her new book, The Networked Nonprofit, co-authored with Beth Kanter, will be published by Wiley & Sons in 2010.

Networking Event - Sept. 14, 2009
AWNJ
Members and friends started the fall season
at the well-attended Back to Business networking
event. First-time attendees were impressed by the
friendly atmosphere and how easy it was to make new
connections. The event also featured an impressive
slate of door prizes donated by AWCNJ members.
